Bruins-Maple Leafs Projected Lines, Pairings: New Addition Slots In

Boston is riding a two-game win streak

The Boston Bruins take the ice against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday night riding high after consecutive wins and the recent signing of veteran forward Tyler Johnson.

Toronto, meanwhile, is coming off two straight losses including a 2-1 overtime defeat against the Minnesota Wild on Sunday.

Johnson headlines the lineup changes for the Black and Gold at Scotiabank Arena; the two-time Stanley Cup champion is set to play on the third line with center Matthew Poitras and winger Trent Frederic.

“He’s gonna make plays,” Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery told reporters Tuesday. “He’s gonna be able to help us on the bench, just another veteran, a voice who’s won a couple of Cups.”

Morgan Geekie will be a healthy scratch in a corresponding move. Parker Wotherspoon will be re-inserted in place of Mason Lohrei’s on Boston’s third defensive pairing.

Puck drop from Toronto is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET, and you can watch it live on NESN following an hour of pregame coverage.

Here are the projected lines and pairings for both teams:
