The Bruins fizzled out in the third period
The Bruins fell to the Ottawa Senators last night in a 3-2 overtime loss. Now at 7-7-2, the Bruins failed to get a single shot off in the third period, something that has not been done by the team since 2006 against the Canucks.
Brad Marchand’s goal in the second period tallied him at 290 career even-strength goals, the second most in franchise history under Johnny Bucyk.
Despite the loss, Boston was able to welcome back past Bruins’ goalie Linus Ullmark, who marked his return for the first time since being traded to the Senators.
