Three Patriots captains made their way onto the list
Patriots defensive end Deatrich Wise Jr. suffered an injury on New England’s second-to-last defensive snap in its win over the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
And the injury was significant enough to keep the Patriots captain off the practice field Wednesday with New England preparing for its Week 11 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams.
Wise, who sacked Caleb Williams twice, was a non-participant due to a foot injury. He wasn’t the only member of New England’s defensive front who missed the practice session as defensive tackle Jaquelin Roy sat out due to a neck injury.
The Patriots did get some good news for their defense. Kyle Dugger, who missed the last three games due to an ankle injury, was a limited participant as was linebacker Christian Elliss, who didn’t suit up against the Bears due to an abdomen injury.
