Patriots Injury Report: Two Key Starters Ruled Out For Week 10

Jerod Mayo offered an update on the severity of Kyle Dugger's injury

The Patriots released their final injury report that offered bad news on two key defensive starters.

New England on Friday ruled out safety Kyle Dugger (ankle) and linebacker Christian Elliss (abdomen). This will be the third straight game Dugger will miss. Head coach Jerod Mayo was optimistic the standout defender would return this season. It’s a setback for Ellis who was coming along in his second season with the Patriots.

It looks like JaMycal Hasty, Sione Takitaki and Keion White were removed from the injury report. Daniel Ekuale (abdomen) was added as questionable after he was upgraded as a full participant in practice Friday. Linebacker Jahlani Tavai did not participate in practice Friday for a personal reason but was not listed on the injury report.

The Bears have a lengthy injury report, so both sides will be shorthanded to some capacity this Sunday. New England has until Saturday 4 p.m. ET to make any practice squad elevations.
