There's just something about Marchand and overtime
Overtime this season is where Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand likes to do most of his scoring.
Marchand potted his second game-winner of the season Thursday night when he found the back of the net with 20 seconds left in the extra frame to lift the Bruins to a 4-3 win over the Calgary Flames at TD Garden.
Marchand got some major help on his goal from Elias Lindholm, who created a turnover behind the Flames net before finding Marchand alone in front. Flames goalie Dustin Wolf denied Marchand’s initial attempt, but the scrappy forward used every bit of his reach to backhand the rebound past Wolf.

Marchand’s tally avoided a shootout and what potentially could have been a disastrous loss on home ice for the Bruins. Boston coughed up a two-goal lead in the third period.
Marchand now has 21 goals in overtime in his career, which is the most in franchise history and ranks third all-time, trailing only Alex Ovechkin and Sidney Crosby.
