Patriots-Cardinals Inactives: Cole Strange Return Will Have To Wait

New England returns to the field after the bye week, but Strange is inactive

Cole Strange will have to wait at least one more week to make his return.

Strange, who the New England Patriots listed as questionable entering Sunday’s contest against the Arizona Cardinals, is inactive in Week 15.

The 2022 first-round pick has been recovering from a knee injury and was activated to the roster this week, at the conclusion of his 21-day practice window. Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo hinted Strange, who hasn’t played in nearly a full year (Dec. 17, 2023), could play in Arizona.

The Patriots, however, received good news on a three key defenders.

Cornerback Christian Gonzalez (shoulder), defensive tackle Christian Barmore (non-injury related) and safety Kyle Dugger (ankle) are active after being questionable. Offensive tackle Vederian Lowe (shoulder) also is active after dealing with his own ailment.

The Patriots will be down to four wideouts against the Cardinals with Javon Baker (concussion) ruled out and the recent release of K.J. Osborn, who’s since landed with the Washington Commanders.

Here are the inactives for the Patriots:
WR Javon Baker
LB Marte Mapu
QB Joe Milton III
G Tyrese Robinson
C Cole Strange
