Scott Zolak Rips Questionable Call During Patriots-Cardinals

'That's a bad call'

The New England Patriots are not exactly an entertaining football team.

Sometimes, what happens on the broadcast is more exciting than the actual playing on the field. That was just the case on Sunday during the third quarter of the Patriots game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Former Patriots quarterback and current broadcaster Scott Zolak completely ripped the officials after Anfernee Jennings was called for roughing the passer after Kyler Murray threw an interception on second and six.

That’s a bad call! That’s a bad call,” Zolak said on the 98.5 The Sports Hub’s broadcast. “What do you want these defensive guys to do?”

Zolak pointed out how Murray appeared to start his scramble and get outside of the pocket before the big hit by the Patriots edge rusher.

“He’s not attempting to slide, so now he became fair game,” Zolak said. “How is Jennings supposed to avoid that?”

Although the Cardinals were not able to capitalize on the drive and ended up punting the football four plays later, it still riled up Zolak and took valuable time off the clock.
