New England is back in the No. 3 spot with three weeks to go
The New England Patriots took another step in the wrong direction as a team in Week 15 with a 30-17 road loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
New England dropped to 3-11 on the season with several clear needs around the roster. The Patriots have cornerstone players in Drake Maye and Christian Gonzalez, but that’s about it.
The Patriots need to be active in the free agent market and the draft to drastically improve their roster and speed up the rebuild. As far as the draft is concerned, Sunday afternoon’s loss helped New England jump back toward the top of the order.
New England started the day at No. 7, but after its own loss and some help, the Patriots jumped back up to No. 3, the same spot they selected Maye in during the 2024 draft.
