Marchand posted several pictures on social media
Bruins forward Brad Marchand already ripped WEEI’s Rich Keefe after he claimed there were major issues in the Bruins’ dressing room.
Both Marchand and longtime teammate David Pastrnak vehemently denied that there was any friction between them and contrary to what Keefe said, the pair are “best friends” on and off the ice.
Even though Marchand addressed the non-issue after Boston’s practice in Sunrise, Fla., the Bruins captain doubled down on his displeasure by posting on his personal Instagram account.
“Wolves don’t lose sleep over the opinions of sheep!” Marchand captioned with several photos of himself and Pastrnak.
Marchand didn’t stop with the post; he also added a series of pictures to his Instagram story.
Of course, Marchand could just be responding to Keefe’s post on X. The outspoken radio host alleged Marchand would not have refuted the report if it were false.
“Now I got Marchand calling for my job?” Keefe wrote. “No one acts this way if the story is really false. Thanks for the confirmation.”
These types of reports always circulate when teams are struggling. We recently saw one in Vancouver, with reports that JT Miller and Elias Pettersson were butting heads. Regardless, if Marchand hadn’t responded, Keefe probably would have said his silence was confirmation. Either way, no one should expect Marchand to back down — just ask Paul Bissonnette.
