The AFC kicks off the NFL playoffs

The NFL playoffs kick off Saturday with a matchup between the Los Angeles Chargers and Houston Texans.

Houston earned the No. 4 seed after clinching the AFC South for a second straight season. However, DeMeco Ryans isn’t heading into the postseason on a hot stretch. The Texans lost two of their last three games, including a 31-2 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Christmas Day.

The Chargers returned to the postseason for the first time in two seasons. Jim Harbaugh helped his side earn the No. 5 seed and head into the postseason on a five-game win streak.

Los Angeles is a 3-point favorite over Houston at FanDuel Sportsbook despite the game being played at NRG Stadium. The total for the wild-card matchup is 41.5.
