Patriots Rumors: Mike Vrabel Hiring Could Bring ‘Big Changes’

Vrabel reportedly has made one addition already

Those inside the building at One Patriot Place are well-aware what’s coming: Change.

“Excited,” one member of the Patriots organization told the Boston Herald after New England announced the hiring of head coach Mike Vrabel.

“Unselfishly, I think it’s a great move for the franchise. Could mean big changes for a lot of people I like working with though, which would be tough.”

Ryan Cowden will be added to the Patriots personnel department at the request of Vrabel, according to Yahoo’s Charles Robinson. Patriots executive vice president of player personnel Eliot Wolf reportedly will retain personnel power. Cowden reportedly won’t hold a general manager title.

That makes the first such change, but there’s sure to be more with the comings and goings on Vrabel’s coaching staff.

Big changes, however, are exactly what’s needed for the Patriots.
