Red Sox Multi-Platform Viewership Surges On NESN To Start Spring Training; ‘NESN 360’ Sets Record

Interest in the Boston Red Sox on NESN surged during the start of 2025 spring training

BOSTON (February 27, 2025) – Interest in the Boston Red Sox on NESN surged during the start of 2025 spring training as evidenced by significant increases in viewership and NESN 360 subscription sales.

The first three games of spring training had a 62% increase in total multi-platform minutes watched over the first three games of 2024. The lift is across linear, FAST, and DTC streaming. Additionally, last weekend’s three games registered as the three largest streaming audiences on NESN 360 for a Red Sox spring training game – with Sunday’s game recording a 133% increase in viewers over any prior season spring training game.

Subscriptions to NESN 360 have also soared. In the six days following a reduction in cost for the annual plan, to $239.99 from $329.99, total subscription sales doubled and annual subscriptions skyrocketed 23x over a comparable six-day period last year.

Last weekend’s games were distributed across NESN 360, NESN’s linear broadcast, NESN’s recently launched FAST channel NESN NATION (Sunday only), and Boston broadcast partner WHDH (Sunday only).

NESN will air this Sunday’s matchup against the New York Mets on NESN NATION, available on Prime Video, The Roku Channel, and Plex. The game will also be available on NESN 360, WHDH (Boston), WWAX (Hartford), and WYCI (Burlington). NESN will also make the March 9 matchup against the Atlanta Braves and March 23 matchup against the Minnesota Twins available on these platforms, in addition to being available on Samsung TV Plus and WPXT (Portland).
