NFL Draft Analyst Assesses Alternative Player Path For Patriots

Should New England consider this weapon?

The New England Patriots need to make a massive decision at No. 4 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft.

The team still needs a left tackle, which makes LSU’s Will Campbell the logical fit based on need and draft availability entering Thursday. But what if New England pivots and decides to add another talented skill player around Drake Maye to further build up the offense for the Patriots?

New England has a decent starter at running back in Rhamondre Stevenson, but Boise State star Ashton Jeanty had a monumental season on the ground in 2024 and led his team to the College Football Playoff. He’s poised to be a top-10 pick and the Patriots would be wise to consider him.

PFF’s Jon Ledyard appeared on NESN’s “Boston Has Entered The Chat” podcast to discuss the idea of the Patriots taking Jeanty with George Balekji and Kasey Hudson.
