Tanner Houck Bounces Back In Start, Red Sox Bullpen Can’t Finish

Houck struck out seven in his start

The Boston Red Sox started strong against the Chicago White Sox thanks to a bounce-back outing by Tanner Houck, but weren’t able to pull out a win once the bullpen struggled against batters.

Tanner Houck struck out seven batters over six innings with a whiff rate of 30%, an improvement over his first four starts, where he struck out a total of eleven batters with a whiff rate of only 21.2%.
