NESN Personalities Drop Their Stanley Cup Second Round Playoff Predictions

Which teams will advance to the Conference Finals?

After an exciting opening round of the Stanley Cup playoffs, eight teams were sent packing, and another eight contenders advanced with the opportunity to capture the most coveted trophy in sports.

NESN in-studio hosts and rinkside reporters Sophia Jurksztowicz and Adam Pellerin recapped the first round and shared their picks for the second round on the latest episode of “The Hockey Hub” podcast.

The only series in which Jurksztowicz and Pellerin completely agreed upon is the Dallas Stars eliminating the Presidents’ Trophy-winning Winnipeg Jets in seven games.

The duo predicted that the same teams would advance to their respective Conference Finals, but the number of games varied.

Here’s how Jurksztowicz and Pellerin predicted the other three series:

Florida Panthers vs. Toronto Maple Leafs (TOR leads 1-0)
Jurksztowicz: Panthers 4-3
Pellerin: Panthers 4-2

Carolina Hurricanes vs. Washington Capitals (CAR leads 1-0)
Jurksztowicz: Capitals 4-2
Pellerin: Capitals 4-3
