Red Sox Vs. Blue Jays Lineups: Boston Looks To Win Series

Kristian Campbell will start in the outfield Thursday

The Red Sox conclude their six-game road trip Thursday, and they’ll look to win the series against the Blue Jays.

Toronto earned a walk-off win at Rogers Centre on Wednesday night despite a solid outing from the returning Lucas Giolito. Manager Alex Cora stood by his team after blowing a six-run lead, but he’ll hope they don’t make the same mistake two days in a row.

Ceddanne Rafaela will sit out the series finale, and Kristian Campbell will shift to the outfielder with David Hamilton starting at second base. Cora also moved around the middle of Boston’s lineup with Wilyer Abreu batting clean-up, followed by Trevor Story, then Triston Casas. Hamilton will bat eighth ahead of Carlos Narváez.

Tanner Houck will toe the rubber for the Red Sox opposite José Berríos. Houck’s last outing against the Cleveland Guardians last week didn’t start well, but he recovered to give Boston solid innings. He’ll hope to rebound against Toronto.

First pitch for the Red Sox-Blue Jays matchup at Rogers Centre is scheduled at 7:07 p.m. ET, and you can catch full coverage on NESN after an hour of pregame.
