MLB Network’s Jon Morosi revealed on Thursday evening that Boston was making a late push to acquire a Minnesota Twins All-Star.
“The Red Sox have made a late effort to acquire Joe Ryan, source says,” Morosi posted to X less than 30 minutes before the 6 p.m. ET deadline.
Ryan, 29, has been linked to the Red Sox for weeks. The right-hander entered Thursday with a 10-5 record, a 2.82 ERA and 137 strikeouts in 20 starts.
