Red Sox Strike First, Keep Scoring In Twins Win

The Red Sox should keep this up

The Boston Red Sox struck first against the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday night, and just kept going. The offense piled up four runs in the third inning thanks to the hot bats of Roman Anthony, Alex Bregman, and Trevor Story. They continued on, scoring four more thanks to Wilyer Abreu, Ceddanne Rafaela, and another hit by Trevor Story.

Story hit a two-run home run in the third inning, and doubled in the top of the ninth inning to score Alex Bregman and extend the Red Sox lead to 7-3. The Sox would go on to beat the Twins 8-5.

The Red Sox are now 5.0 games behind the A.L. East-leading Toronto Blue Jays.
