Shane Gillis Makes Funny Bill Belichick Joke During ESPY Awards
Gillis unsurprisingly went at Belichick's relationship
Shane Gillis didn’t pull any punches during his opening monologue at the 2025 ESPY Awards on Wednesday night.
Just ask six-time Super Bowl champion head coach Bill Belichick, who was on the receiving end of some funny but crude material stemming from his relationship with 24-year old Jordan Hudson.
“… A bookie is what Bill Belichick reads to his girlfriend before bedtime,” Gillis said with a laugh, per Awful Announcing.
Gillis then named a few NSFW book titles, which served as a few more jabs at the former New England Patriots head coach.
“Also, I’m not trashing Bill Belichick. He’s 73 years old and he’s dating a hot 24-year-old, and people are criticizing him,” Gillis said. “What happened to this country? We used to be a great country. He won six Super Bowls. Yeah, he’s dating a hot 24-year-old. Maybe if you guys won six Super Bowls you wouldn’t be sitting next to a fat, ugly, dog wife.”
Gillis, a well-known stand up comedian, actor and podcaster, didn’t target only Belichick, though. He took aim at Caitlin Clark, Shedeur Sanders and the rest of the sports world.
