VA Hero Of The Week: Aroldis Chapman Makes History At 2025 MLB All-Star Game

Sox closer sent ASG to first-ever swing-off finish

Aroldis Chapman made history at the 2025 MLB All-Star Game, sending the game to a swing-off for the first time in 93 years. This makes him our VA Hero of the Week.

In his eighth All-Star appearance, Chapman entered the ninth inning with the game all tied-up. He pitched a scoreless ninth inning, something he has been no stranger to this season with the Sox, sending the game to a swing-off to determine a winner.

After pitching 36 out of 41 scoreless innings and posting a 1.18 ERA so far this season, we can only expect to continue seeing good things from Chapman.
