Grand Slam Helped Sox Avoid Being Swept By Phillies
Romy Gonzalez hit his first career grand slam against the Philadelphia Phillies, making him our VA Hero of the Week!
His fifth inning knock helped the Sox take the lead after being down three runs and injected the life they needed after dropping the first two games in the series.
The Red Sox went on to win the game 9-8 in extra innings thanks to a two-run home run from Carlos Narváez at the top of the 11th.
