Sean Kuraly is back in Boston
The Boston Bruins are reuniting with an old friend, signing forward Sean Kuraly to a two-year deal at $1.85 million per year, as reported by Sportsnetâs Elliotte Friedman.
The Bruins confirmed the move on social media Tuesday night.
Kuraly spent five seasons in Boston, debuting with the Bruins during the 2016-17Â campaign. The 32-year-old skated in 270 games in Boston, scoring 24 goals and 44 assists through that time.
He played 57 playoff games for Boston, jumping off the score sheet during the 2019 playoff run. During the Bruinsâ 2019 playoff run, Kuraly had four goals and 10 assists in 20 games.
After his time with the Bruins, Kuraly signed with his hometown Columbus Blue Jackets, spending the last four years with the team. During the 2024-25 season, he played in all the Blue Jacketsâ regular-season games, scoring six goals and 11 assists for 17 points.
The 6-foot-2, 215-pound forward will most likely play in a bottom-six role with the Black and Gold. On Tuesday, the Boston front office added several players who will battle for a bottom-six role for the upcoming season.
With the signing, the Bruins are bringing back a fan favorite that fans can look forward to watching.
