How To Watch High-Stakes Red Sox Vs. Yankees Series This Weekend

Where and when to watch this weekend's showdown

This weekend’s pivotal four-game series between the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees is underway. The series got off to an exciting start on Thursday with the Red Sox beating the Yankees 6-3 on Roman Anthony’s first career home run at Yankee Stadium, cutting New York’s wild card lead to half a game.

While that game aired on FOX, the remaining three games will all air on different TV networks. It can be tough to keep track of which game is on which network, so here’s a quick guide on where to watch the series, start times, expected pitching matchups and more.

Friday night’s game starts at 7:05 p.m. ET and will air on Amazon Prime Video for those in the Yankees’ TV market. New Englanders can catch the game on NESN, while out-of-market fans can watch on MLB Network.

Friday’s game features a good pitching matchup between Brayan Bello (9-6, 3.23 ERA) and Max Fried (13-5, 3.26 ERA). Boston and New York both pursued Fried in free agency last winter, but he went to the Yankees on a historic eight-year, $218 million deal.

It will also be the Major League debut of outfielder Jhostynxon Garcia, one of Boston’s top prospects.

Saturday’s game has an early start time at 1:05 p.m. ET. Both local networks, NESN and YES, will carry the game, while out-of-market fans can watch on MLB Network. Red Sox ace Garrett Crochet (13-5, 2.43 ERA) is slated to face Yankees rookie Will Warren (7-5, 4.25 ERA).

What do you think?  Leave a comment.

While Crochet’s been one of the best pitchers in baseball all season, Warren has settled down after a rough first half, allowing two earned runs or less in nine of his last 11 starts.

The series concludes on Sunday Night Baseball, which starts at 7:10 p.m. ET. Trade deadline acquisition Dustin May (7-9, 4.59 ERA) will get his first taste of the Boston-New York rivalry against Carlos Rodón (13-7, 3.24 ERA).

All games will be available to stream on Fubo, while Sunday’s game will also be available on ESPN+ and ESPN’s new DTC service.
