Luka Dončić Injured: What Happened To Lakers Star?

Lakers fans are holding their breath...

Los Angeles Lakers superstar Luka Dončić suffered an injury on Saturday.

Playing for Slovenia in an exhibition against Kristaps Porzingis and Latvia, Dončić came up limping in the third quarter after a teammate was inadvertently pushed into him.

The Athletic’s Dan Woike was the first to report the Dončić injury.

“Luka Dončić was able to walk to the locker room on his own during a Slovenian game but he was favoring his right leg after a teammate was pushed into him,” Woike posted to X. “We’ll see if he returns in the second half of this exhibition against Latvia.”

Shortly thereafter, Woike provided a promising update for Lakers fans. “Source tells me that he’s avoided any serious injury on the play,” Woike wrote.

The basketball world will be waiting anxiously to hear further updates on Dončić, who is experiencing his first offseason as a Laker. Dončić has turned heads this summer by getting himself into peak condition

The 26-year-old guard will be looking to lead Team Slovenia to glory during the upcoming EuroBasket tournament, which begins on August 27.
