38. Jason Kidd

Kidd is one the best point guards of all time.

His 19-year career featured stints with the Dallas Mavericks, Phoenix Suns and New Jersey Nets. Drafted No. 2 overall out of the Cal by the Mavericks in 1994, he was named co-NBA Rookie of the Year with Grant Hill, averaging 11.7 points, 7.7 assists and 5.4 rebounds per game out of the gate.

Kidd’s individual greatness peaked during his time with the Nets, whom he led to back-to-back NBA Finals appearances in 2002 and 2003. Kidd also finished No. 2 in MVP voting for the 2001-02 season behind Tim Duncan.

The thing that was unique about Kidd was that he was an offensive general and master creator while also being an elite defensive player and rebounder. Simply put, he was an all-around talent.

Kidd was a 10-time NBA All-Star, and earned six All-NBA Team selections to go along with nine NBA All-Defensive Team honors. He led the league in assists five times and retired third all-time in career assists and steals.

He won a much-deserved NBA championship in 2011 with the Mavericks at age 38, making him the oldest starting point guard to win a title. He also won two Olympic gold medals with Team USA in 2000 and 2008.

Kidd was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2018 and named to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team in 2021.
