The New England Patriots have released their list of six inactive players for a Week 1 battle against Pete Carroll’s Las Vegas Raiders.
The most impactful player on this list is no doubt Christian Gonzalez, whose absence from the secondary could make things a lot easier for Raiders tight end Brock Bowers as he looks to wreak havoc on the Pats at Gillette Stadium.
ESPN’s Mike Reiss and MassLive’s Mark Daniels were both on the beat as the Patriots released their inactive list on Sunday shortly before noon ET.
Woods, 25, was recently scooped up by the Patriots a day after he was waived by the Los Angeles Rams.
With New England’s cornerback depth challenged, Marcus Jones will be burdened with more important responsibilities than usual on Sunday against Geno Smith’s offense.
