Boutte needed all of his fingers to hold onto the ball.
The New England Patriots pulled off one of their most beautiful passing touchdowns of the 2025 on Sunday in the first half of a Week 7 battle against the Tennessee Titans.
As quarterback Drake Maye engineered a two-minute drill trailing 13-10, he dropped back on 1st and 10 and launched a 39-yard pass over the middle to a streaking Kayshon Boutte, who hauled in the catch with his fingertips as he collapsed into the end zone.
The gorgeous throw and impressive catch from Boutte capped a three-play, 60-yard drive from the Pats that also featured a lengthy scramble from Maye.
Per Patriots Communications, the TD pass to Boutte was Maye’s third-longest of his career and also his third-longest completion this season.
For Boutte, it was the third-longest reception of his career.
Boutte now has four touchdowns in 2025, besting his previous career high (three) in a season, which he accomplished last year in New England.
The Maye-Boutte connection has been very fruitful for the Pats through their first six-and-a-half games.
Following the first half against the Titans, MassLive’s Chris Mason pointed out that Boutte has tallied a reception of at least 15 yards in every game this season.
