Patriots Star WR Among Four Players Listed As Questionable For Week 7

Who will miss Week 7 for the Pats?

New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel spoke to the media on Friday and announced four players as questionable for Sunday’s Week 7 battle against the Tennessee Titans, per ESPN’s Mike Reiss. One of those players is wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

Vrabel also expressed confidence in his offense and wide receiver room even if Diggs ends up not playing, per CLNS Media’s Mike Kadlick.

“They’ve all shown that when given opportunities, they’ll make plays,” Vrabel said, per Kadlick. “They all contribute … that room is understanding that the ball is going to go to the one that’s open first in the progression.”

Diggs has had 32 catches for 387 yards in six games this season. He’s becoming a more comfortable target for Drake Maye as the season progresses, and the Patriots are thrilled overall with how Diggs has looked in his first season back from an ACL tear.

Nonetheless, Diggs’s ongoing chest ailment will be something to monitor, especially if he does end up taking the field against Tennessee.

While the Patriots obviously want him out there every week, it’s important that Diggs doesn’t develop a serious injury that could jeopardize his availability later in the season, especially if the Patriots remain in contention.

Following the Titans game, the Patriots will take on the Cleveland Browns in Week 8.
