Two Red Sox Prospects Make Arizona Fall League All-Star Team

This duo is making waves in the AFL

The MLB season may be over, but baseball’s still being played in the Arizona Fall League.

Several Boston Red Sox prospects have stood out in the AFL this year. Two have been selected to the AFL All-Star Game roster — pitching prospect Luis Perales and infielder Stanley Tucker.

Many Red Sox fans are already familiar with Perales, who ranks as the team’s No. 9 prospect overall and No. 5 pitching prospect according to MLB Pipeline. The 22-year-old right-hander missed most of 2025 after undergoing Tommy John surgery, appearing in just one game for Double-A Portland and two games for Triple-A Worcester towards the end of the season.

Perales has struggled in the AFL with a 9.58 ERA in five starts, but he’s shown promise with 16 strikeouts in 10 1/3 innings. He’s also showcased his elite velocity, cracking triple digits on the radar gun.

Meanwhile, Boston fans are probably less familiar with Tucker, who has yet to progress past Single-A and is a largely unknown prospect. A 19th-round draft pick in 2023, the 23-year-old has exceeded expectations in the AFL this year, batting .288 with a .397 OBP, 14 RBI and 12 steals in 20 games.

Tucker’s turned heads with his impressive speed, contact skills and on-base ability, although he hasn’t shown much pop with only three doubles and 16 singles.

Perales will not play in the game, but Tucker might. While Perales seems destined for the Major Leagues someday, this represents a big step in Tucker’s development and suggests he could be ready to make a leap next year.
