Yankees Pitcher Attends Bruins Game Wearing Boston Jersey

Guess who?

There was a surprising guest at TD Garden on Saturday night to watch the Boston Bruins defeat the Detroit Red Wings, and he confused some Boston sports fans by donning a Bruins uniform. This confusion stems from the fact that the guest was none other than New York Yankees starting pitcher (and Red Sox fan antagonist) Cam Schlittler.

Schlittler went viral during his rookie MLB season with the Yankees for trolling Red Sox fans online. He expressed public contempt towards Boston fans at one point after certain fans harassed his mother online, a situation that many believe contributed to Schlittler’s dominant performance against the Red Sox in Game 3 of the 2025 ALWC, ending Boston’s season.

A few days following the World Series, Schlittler attempted to clear the air with Boston fans by releasing a heartfelt message to social media describing his affinity for both New York (his new home) and his home state of Massachusetts.

Schlittler hails from Walpole, MA, and attended Northeastern before getting drafted by the Yankees.

While certain fans have pushed back against or even doubted Shlittler’s allegiance to Boston, Schlittler at one point told a fan on social media to wait until Bruins season, and it was unclear exactly what Schlittler meant by that at the time.

Well, Saturday night brought the answer, as Schlittler donned a custom Bruins uniform and rolled through TD Garden to support his hockey team.
