Bruins Troll Entire NHL With Hilarious Social Media Move

Boston's latest social media decision has caught attention

Of the four major professional North American sports leagues, the NHL is known for being the most vicious of the bunch, both on and off the ice. While everybody knows about the fights and brutal levels of physicality during games, the Boston Bruins showed everyone the lengths these teams will go to troll their opponents with a hilarious social media move.

Social media plays a big role in sports, and on X, that recently led to the creation of an account known as @NHLFollowTrack. This account is dedicated to tracking who the teams and players of the NHL are following and unfollowing on Instagram.

Fans have quickly flocked to this account, so the Bruins’ social media team decided to have some fun with it. On Friday, the B’s followed Adam Sandler on Instagram, but they really caught attention for unfollowing every other team in the NHL in the process.

The Bruins found a unique way to lean into this recent social media trend, and it’s safe to say fans found the move hilarious. Chances are, they will follow all these teams back at some point in the near future, but for now, they have declared war against every other team in the league.

On the ice, the B’s are working on getting themselves back on track after suffering a disappointing 3-1 loss to the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday night. While Boston was pleased with its performance, it ultimately did not do enough to take down the 2025 Stanley Cup Final runner-ups.

The Bruins won’t have to wait long to get the bad taste of this loss out of their mouths, though, as they will be back in action against the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday night. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
