Celtics Big Man Played Through Hand Fracture During G League Triple-Double

The rookie has appeared in six games for Boston this season

The Boston Celtics ruled out four players on Wednesday, one day ahead of Thursday’s game vs. the Milwaukee Bucks.

Among them is rookie big man Amari Williams, who is dealing with a hairline fracture on his right hand.

According to a report by CelticsBlog’s Noa Dalzell, Williams suffered the injury during Sunday’s G League game with the Maine Celtics.

Dalzell wrote that the 23-year-old played through the ailment on his way to his first career triple-double.

Celtics reporter Bobby Krivitsky posted a video of both Williams and fellow two-way player Ron Harper Jr. taking part in Boston’s practice on Wednesday, though the former was sporting tape on his injured hand.

Harper Jr. was also ruled out for Thursday’s contest due to a sprained right knee.
