David Pastrnak Provides Positive Injury Update As Bruins Begin Road Trip

'I'm feeling great'

Boston Bruins star forward David Pastrnak gave a positive update on his injury as he inches closer to a return.

Pastrnak has been out of the lineup since Nov. 26 due to an injury. However, he returned to practice on Monday in a red non-contact jersey.

Although Pastrnak is unlikely to play on Tuesday, he said he will travel with the team and expects to play at some point on the Bruins’ three-game road trip.

“I feel good, I got to practice,” Pastrnak said on Monday. “I’m feeling great, good to be back with the boys out there.”

Pastrnak said he wants to see how he feels tomorrow after practicing today. But the Bruins star is confident he is inching closer to a return.

“I’m not sure, today I got through practice, we will see how I feel tomorrow,” Pastrnak said of when he could return to the lineup. … “I just want to get back out there.”

Boston is set for a three-game road trip, which begins on Tuesday against the St. Louis Blues. The Bruins will also play the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday and the Minnesota Wild on Sunday.

If Pastrnak does return during the road trip, it will be a big boost to Boston’s lineup. Pastrnak has recorded 11 goals and 18 assists for 29 points in 25 games this season.

Boston is 17-13-0 and in second place in the Atlantic Division.
