Maye is giving back to his teammates before the holidays
The New England Patriots gave their fans an early present for the holidays in Week 16 when they picked up a 28-24 victory over the Baltimore Ravens. Now, quarterback Drake Maye is getting into the holiday spirit, as he gave several of his Patriots teammates a rather unique gift.
Maye’s life has changed drastically during the 2025 campaign. In the blink of an eye, Maye has become one of the most popular players in the NFL, thanks in large part to his incredible play on the field for New England. However, he’s also emerged as a key leader within the team’s locker room.
That recently led to Maye deciding to give back to his teammates. The second-year passer teamed up with Gillette to hand out new razors to his squad, and while it’s not as lavish as some other gifts guys across the league are handing out, it’s clear the gesture went a long way.
For Pats Nation, Maye has been the gift that keeps on giving this season. New England has gone from being one of the worst teams in the league last season to sharing the best record in the league with the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks at 12-3, thanks in large part to their quarterback’s strong play.
And yet, there is still a lot of work for this team to do. After losing to the Buffalo Bills in Week 15, the AFC East division is still up for grabs, even though the Patriots have the inside track to clinch the top spot when all is said and done.
If N.E. wins its final two regular-season games, it will lock up the division. Maye will look to lead his team to win No. 13 in Week 17 when the Pats square off against the lowly New York Jets on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. ET.
