Drake Maye’s MVP Odds Rise After Patriots Beat Ravens

Maye delivered an outstanding performance against Baltimore

The Patriots celebrated a crucial victory on “Sunday Night Football,” defeating the Baltimore Ravens 28-24. This win not only secured New England a playoff spot but also boosted quarterback Drake Maye’s standing in the MVP race.

Maye threw for 380 yards, completing two touchdowns and one interception. As of Monday, FanDuel listed Maye with the second-best odds to win the MVP at +170, just behind Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, who is at -195.

Stafford and the Rams lost to the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday. However, the defeat wasn’t due to Stafford’s performance, as he threw for an impressive 457 yards and three touchdowns.

Maye still has a shot at winning MVP, but he’ll need Stafford to struggle in the next couple of weeks. Los Angeles will face the Atlanta Falcons and the Arizona Cardinals during that time, both of which are teams already eliminated from postseason contention, which could make it hard for Stafford to struggle.

Maye will have an opportunity to improve his stats when the Patriots play against the New York Jets and the Miami Dolphins the next two weeks.

Even if Maye doesn’t win the MVP this season, he will likely have a chance to earn the award in the coming years if he keeps up his impressive performance.
