Jaylen Brown Absolutely On Fire For Celtics Over Last Five Games

Boston Celtics wing Jaylen Brown deserves his flowers. The NBA Finals MVP has been on a heater lately, and it’s resulting in wins over very good teams. CLNS Media’s Noa Dalzell outlined Brown’s last five games, which have all been monstrous, most recently a 42-point eruption against the New York Knicks on Tuesday night.
Even when Brown’s scoring dipped to 19 points against the Cavs, he was contributing in others ways, notching a triple-double with 12 boards and 11 assists, the latter of which helped enable Payton Pritchard’s 42-point masterclass against Cleveland.
Brown is now averaging 29.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game on 49.9 percent shooting from the field. His usage has skyrocketed, but his efficiency has remained sturdy — the mark of a franchise centerpiece.
Brown’s stock is rising, even if MVP buzz is still not being deservedly attached to his name. More importantly, the Celtics are winning, and they’re doing it while playing a beautiful brand of team basketball.
