Jordan Walsh Only Second Celtics Player Ever To Accomplish This Feat

Walsh dominated the Bucks on Thursday

The Boston Celtics had a rough night on Thursday, collapsing in the second half and losing by 15 points to the short-handed Milwaukee Bucks.

While the Celtics endured their worst shooting performance of the season, they still had several bright spots. Jaylen Brown turned in another 30-point game for Boston, and Jordan Walsh continued his scorching start to December with one of the best performances of his career.

Walsh went off in the first half, scoring 18 points on 7-of-7 shooting. He also chipped in three rebounds and three steals, contributing to his plus-16.

It was Walsh’s second time this month with at least 15 points and a perfect field goal percentage in the first half. He also did it on Dec. 4 against the Washington Wizards, when he had 15 points and went 6-for-6 before halftime.

That ties a Celtics franchise record for most career games in the play-by-play era with at least 15 points and a perfect field goal percentage in the first half. Paul Pierce did it twice in his 15 seasons with Boston, while Walsh did it twice in the span of eight days.

Like most of his teammates, Walsh cooled off in the second half, scoring just two points after halftime. He still finished with 20 points on 8-of-10 shooting along with eight rebounds and three steals. He was also a menace on the defensive end, creating six turnovers.

Walsh now has at least 17 points in three of his last four games and will look to stay hot on Monday against the Detroit Pistons.
