'I can’t finish the game with my guys. It’s BS'
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson wasn’t happy with the way things unfolded during Sunday’s loss to the New England Patriots.
Jackson, who exited the game with a back injury late in the second quarter, obviously wasn’t happy with the end result, but also called into question the specific play in which he was hurt.
“I gave myself up and I got kneed in the back. We’re fighting of a chance to make the playoffs. I can’t finish the game with my guys. It’s BS,” Jackson said following the game, as shared by ESPN’s Jamison Hensley.
Patriots safety Craig Woodson was the player who kneed him, though it appeared to be happenstance — with his momentum causing the contact as he tried to slow himself up in order to avoid the veteran quarterback. If you want a closer look at the play, click here.
Jackson didn’t seem to blame anyone directly, as his comments sounded like general frustrations with a season that has included three missed games. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh called his quarterback day-to-day and expects him to return to the lineup for next week’s matchup with the Green Bay Packers.
