Baltimore will face off against New England in Week 16
The New England Patriots have suddenly found themselves in a bit of a tough spot heading into Week 16, as they have a challenging matchup against the Baltimore Ravens on their hands just one week after suffering a crushing loss to the Buffalo Bills.
New England had a shot to wrap up the AFC East by picking up a win over Buffalo, but instead, it left the door open for one of its top rivals to sneak in and make a late push for the top spot in the division. That had made picking up a win over Baltimore extremely important.
In the buildup to this game, the Ravens were put on high alert on Wednesday when superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson was forced to miss practice due to an illness. The team’s concerns were put to rest on Thursday, though, as Jackson practiced fully, putting him on track to be ready to go for this game.
Jackson has not been 100% healthy for much of the 2025 campaign, which has led to him not practicing on Wednesdays since returning from a knee injury that caused him to miss three games earlier this season. This simply appears to be par for the course for Jackson, as it never seemed like he was in real danger of missing this game.
While the Ravens have bounced back from a miserable start to the season, they haven’t looked as imposing as they have been in recent seasons. It is worth noting, though, that Baltimore is fresh off its most dominant victory over the season in Week 15, as it shut out the Cincinnati Bengals 24-0.
That has set the stage for a big battle between two teams looking to win their divisions. Jackson appears to be all set to play in this one, and the Patriots will have their hands full when it comes to slowing him down in Week 16.
