Report: Charlie McAvoy Labeled Game-Time Decision Vs. Jets

Boston Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy’s 11-game injury absence could come to an end on Thursday night.

“Charlie McAvoy is a game-time decision for tonight’s tilt against the Jets in Winnipeg. Joonas Korpisalo gets the #Bruins net,” Bruins beat reporter Jim McBride of the Boston Globe posted on X.

McAvoy has been sidelined since suffering a fractured jaw after being struck in the face by a slap shot on Nov. 15 during the team’s game against the Montreal Canadiens.

The 27-year-old returned to practice in early December and joined the Bruins on their current three-game road trip, which began on Tuesday vs. the St. Louis Blues.

Star forward David Pastrnak returned to the lineup on Tuesday after missing the previous five games due to injury.

Boston has won three in a row and enters Thursday’s contest at 18-13-0.
