Campbell ditched his shirt in viral Jumbotron moment
New England Patriots first-round draft pick Will Campbell has not seen the field since November 23rd, when he went down with a sprained MCL in a Week 12 game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
He was immediately placed on the injured reserve, where he will remain until at least Week 18.
It appears the 21-year-old has remained in good spirits throughout the recovery process, as he was spotted on Friday night chugging beers at TD Garden alongside his fellow offensive linemen.
Quarterback Drake Maye, seen in the top left corner of the video, was loving watching his franchise left tackle embrace the moment in front of Boston Celtics fans.
Friday night’s outing was the continuation of a season-long tradition in the Patriots locker room.
“From the lighter side: Patriots offensive linemen pushed their weekly Thursday dinner to tonight,” Mike Reiss reported on X. “On the menu: Boston Celtics vs. Miami Heat at TD Garden.”
Other Thursday night outings for the Patriots stars have included a hibachi chef at Maye’s house and Stefon Diggs hosting the team for a privately catered meal in his home, as well as traditional nights out enjoying fine dining around Boston.
There was plenty to cheer about in the Garden tonight as beloved former Celtic Isaiah Thomas was honored pre-game.
Campbell’s Jumbotron antics only fueled an already rowdy crowd that was treated to a 129-116 home victory over a longstanding rival in the Miami Heat.
