Three Patriots Players Land In Concussion Protocol Before Week 17 Vs. Jets

The Patriots' Week 16 win vs. the Ravens was costly

The New England Patriots’ comeback win against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 16 was costly.

Among the slew of injured Patriots during the contest were left guard Jared Wilson, running back TreVeyon Henderson and wide receiver Kayshon Boutte.

Head coach Mike Vrabel said on Tuesday that each member of the trio is currently in the concussion protocol, putting their availability for Sunday’s Week 17 game vs. the New York Jets in jeopardy.

“LG Jared Wilson, RB TreVeyon Henderson and WR Kayshon Boutte are in concussion protocol, per Mike Vrabel,” ESPN’s Mike Reiss posted on Bluesky.

Wilson has already missed two contests this season. The rookie third-round pick sat out Week 4 due to ankle and knee injuries and was sidelined for Week 13 with an ankle injury.

Henderson has suited up for each of New England’s first 15 games and leads the team in rushing attempts (148), rushing yards (776), rushing touchdowns (seven) and yards per attempt (5.2), among other categories.

Boutte has missed two tilts this year, sitting out Weeks 10 and 11 due to a hamstring injury. The third-year pro has a career-high six touchdown receptions this season, which is tied with tight end Hunter Henry for the team lead.
