Boston Bruins forward Morgan Geekie had to attend to a personal matter on Saturday.

Geekie, who leads the club in goals (25) in 2025-26, left the matinee contest with the New York Rangers. The B’s shared that the sudden departure came because he has to attend to a family matter.

Geekie left while the club held a 3-1 lead, which was expanded to 6-1 midway through the second period.

Boston will likely provide further details following the game.
