San Fran adds an outfielder.
According to multiple MLB sources, including The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal, the San Francisco Giants have agreed to terms with outfielder Harrison Bader on a two-year, $20.5 million deal.
Bader enjoyed a strong resurgence in 2025, splitting time between the Minnesota Twins and Philadelphia Phillies. He began the year with Minnesota after signing as a free agent, delivering solid defense in center field and contributing offensively.
Traded to Philadelphia at the deadline, Bader provided an immediate boost, batting .305 with 5 home runs, 16 RBIs, and 30 runs scored over 50 games. Overall, he appeared in 146 games, hitting .277 with 17 homers, 54 RBIs, 11 stolen bases, and a .796 OPS, marking career highs in average and on-base percentage. His 4.2 WAR ranked 13th among outfielders, reflecting his all-around impact.
Over his nine-year career, the 31-year-old has established himself as a speedy, glove-first center fielder. Drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in 2015, Bader debuted in 2017 and has since played for the Yankees, Reds, Mets, Twins, and Phillies. Through 2025, he holds a .247 lifetime average with 88 home runs, 322 RBIs, and 105 stolen bases.
