Heisman Trophy Winning QB Sounds Off On Bill Belichick Not Making Hall Of Fame

'No matter how you feel about Bill Belichick'

Big news hit the NFL world on Tuesday when voters decided not to induct former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Belichick was on the Hall of Fame ballot for the first time this year, but now he will have to wait another year before he might get his moment in Canton.

Many people in the NFL community reacted strongly to the news, and former Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III was not pleased that Bill Belichick was left out of the Hall of Fame.

“If Bill Belichick isn’t a First Ballot NFL Hall of Famer, then NO ONE SHOULD BE,” Griffin wrote Tuesday on X.

Griffin also noted that Belichick is one of the greatest coaches of all time, winning eight Super Bowls: six as head coach with the Patriots and two as an assistant with the New York Giants.

“No matter how you feel about Bill Belichick, he EARNED being a 1st Ballot NFL Hall of Famer,” Griffin added. “Eight-Time Super Bowl Champ. Greatest NFL Coach of All Time. For him not to be is RIDICULOUSLY STUPID.”

Belichick should have gotten into the Hall of Fame on his first ballot because he is one of the greatest coaches of all time. It’s hard to tell the NFL’s history without Belichick.
