New England could get two impact players back
The New England Patriots could get some reinforcements back in Week 18.
New England is set to host the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, as the Patriots have the chance to become the AFC’s No. 1 seed. Ahead of the game, Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel gave a positive injury update on two key players.
Starting offensive tackle Will Campbell and starting defensive tackle Milton Williams are both eligible to be activated off injured reserve this week. Vrabel said it’s looking good for both of them to play this weekend.
“It looks good,” Vrabel said on Friday, via Chad Graff.
Campbell missed the last four games with a right knee injury. He’s expected to start at left tackle for New England on Sunday.
Williams, meanwhile, also missed the last four games due to an ankle injury. The 26-year-old has been an impact player for New England this season as he’s recorded 27 tackles and 3.5 sacks.
Along with Campbell and Williams being back, Vrabel said the plan is to play the starters on Sunday to try and win the No. 1 seed.
“Of course,” Vrabel said on Wednesday. “Anybody that’s healthy. We’re going to do everything we can to win the football game.”
The Patriots are 11.5-point favorites at home against the Dolphins.
