NFL Analyst Identifies Seahawks’ Flaw Patriots Could Exploit

'It can't just be Jaxon Smith-Njigba in the pass game'

The Seattle Seahawks boast one of the most potent offenses, but NFL analyst Chris Simms expressed some concerns about relying too heavily on wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

“It can’t just be Jaxon Smith-Njigba in the pass game. There’s gotta be somebody else.” Simms said on Monday during “Up & Adams”.

Simms made a valid point about Seattle’s offense, especially considering that Smith-Njigba had 10 receptions for 153 yards and one touchdown in the NFC Championship game against the Los Angeles Rams. But other receivers like Cooper Kupp and running back Kenneth Walker III stepped up.

If the Patriots can contain Smith-Njigba, it could create a significant obstacle for Seattle’s offense as it tries to find its groove. With backup running back Zach Charbonnet unavailable, and the Patriots excelling at stopping the run all season, Seattle’s offense may end up one-dimensional.

New England has an opportunity to challenge Smith-Njigba with cornerback Christian Gonzalez, who has been among the top players at his position this season.

It will be interesting to see how the Patriots handle Smith-Njigba, especially since the Rams struggled to contain him all night, which cost Los Angeles a shot at making the Super Bowl.
