Barmore had his request granted on Tuesday
New England Patriots defensive lineman Christian Barmore’s arraignment was postponed by a judge on Tuesday, according to The Boston Globe.
Barmore was originally scheduled to be arraigned on Feb. 3 but is now scheduled to be arraigned on March 9 — allowing him to wait things out until after his club’s matchup with the Seattle Seahawks on Super Bowl LX.
Barmore is charged with a sole count of misdemeanor assault and battery on a household or family member, according to records
David Meier, the veteran defensive lineman’s lawyer, said that he “requires additional time to discuss the matter with Mr. Barmore and to properly and responsibly prepare for the arraignment hearing” in his motion to delay the arraignment.
Meier also represents Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs.
Barmore is accused of grabbing the phone out of the hand of the mother of his child and throwing her to the floor when she tried to leave his house — which allegedly unfolded in front of their child.
