Patriots Drake Maye’s Chances Of Missing Super Bowl Revealed By Doctor Speculating Injury

Rumors of Maye sustaining a shoulder injury are swirling on X

The New England Patriots are going to the Super Bowl, but rumors about Drake Maye hurting his shoulder are swirling online.

Ex-NFL team doctor Dr. David J. Chao noted on X that he believes Maye hurt his shoulder during the 10-7 win against the Denver Broncos. Chao has built a reputation for analyzing injuries on his social media accounts and has a track record of accuracy.

Dr. Chao noted he believed Maye hurt his shoulder on a run in the third quarter, when he landed on his elbow. Chao noted Maye was working out his shoulder after his next pass. On Tuesday, Chao provided an update on what he thinks of the Patriots quarterback’s shoulder injury.

“Nothing inflammatory here, just stating my opinion (and found more evidence that I will show when I can),” Dr. Chao wrote on X. “The right shoulder injury seems real. The possibility of missing (Super Bowl LX) does not.”

Mike Vrabel was asked on “The Greg Hill Show” about the rumors and gave a vague answer.

“There’s not a player on our team that’s 100-percent healthy,” Vrabel said on Tuesday.

When asked if Drake Maye is healthy enough to play at a high level, he kept things vague.

What do you think?  Leave a comment.

“I would imagine we’ll go through the injury report, and whenever we have to turn that in, we’ll turn it in,” Vrabel said. “But nobody’s 100 percent. (It’ll) be our 21st game.”

The Patriots have not confirmed any sort of injury for their MVP-candidate quarterback. However, even if he is hurt, Chao thinks it’s unlikely that the Patriots star will actually miss the Super Bowl.
