Drake Maye is officially questionable
The New England Patriots played it right down the middle on Friday.
The NFL required both participants to issue projected game statuses for Super Bowl LX, with the local club choosing to list all nine players on their injury report — quarterback Drake Maye (shoulder/illness), running back Terrell Jennings (hamstring), tight end Hunter Henry (rest), defensive lineman Joshua Farmer (hamstring), wide receiver Mack Hollins (abdomen), linebackers Harold Landry III (knee) and Robert Spillane (ankle), and offensive lineman Thayer Munford Jr. (knee/illness) and Morgan Moses (rest) — as questionable.
Maye, who reportedly suffered a shoulder injury during his club’s victory over the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship, was listed as a limited participant on the injury report Thursday and a non-participant on the injury report Friday.
Maye would have practiced if not for his newfound illness, however, as stated by head coach Mike Vrabel.
Landry, Spillane and Munford are the three most doubtful players to play in the big game, as none participated in practice this week. Henry, Hollins and Moses are expected to be available.
